Sylvia has been a part of Breene & Breene since 2011, and in 2017 was appointed Senior Associate.  Her areas of practice include commercial law, litigation and insolvency.  Sylvia’s commercial practice includes selling/purchasing businesses, establishing corporate structures, restructuring involving share/unit transfers and shareholder agreements, drafting and advising on loans, leasing and negotiating other general commercial contracts. Sylvia has also had carriage of a wide range of litigious matters in various courts, ranging from the Local Court of NSW to the High Court of Australia.

 

Sylvia has completed the Insolvency Education Program run by the Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association, furthering her interest in and knowledge of corporate insolvency and bankruptcy.  Sylvia also mentors law graduates as part of the Law Society’s Graduate Mentoring Program.

 

Outside the law, Sylvia enjoys sport and spending time with family. 

 

Sylvia is fluent in Polish.
