Matthew Jump

Matthew joined Breene & Breene in November 2020.  

​

Matthew studied Law at The City Law School, University of London (also known as the Inns of Court School of Law) in the intensive Postgraduate Diploma course, in which he was awarded Commendation.  Matthew also undertook a mini-pupillage at a leading London chambers specialising in financial crime, fraud, regulatory law, and terrorism.  Prior to studying Law, Matthew read History of Art for his Batchelor of Arts degree at the Courtauld Institute, University of London.

Alongside his work, Matthew is currently studying the necessary topics required for the admission of a foreign law graduate in New South Wales, at the University of Sydney.  On this course Matthew recently ranked first in the Commercial Law examination.

​

Matthew has, to date, completed the first half of the ARITA Advanced Certification programme in restructuring, insolvency and turnaround law. 

​

Prior to studying Law, Matthew worked for the Sydney branch of a fine art auction house.  In his spare time, Matthew maintains a strong interest in legal history, architecture and art - occasionally advising on Old Master Paintings.
